The Tea Promotion Unit of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing represented Ceylon Tea at the South Asia Commodity Tea Festival 2026 held alongside the South Asia Commodity Expo in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.
The event was graced by Hon. Wasantha Samarasinghe, Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, who attended as the Chief Guest, alongside senior government officials, tea industry leaders, trade associations, and international stakeholders from China and South Asia.
A presentation on the Sri Lankan tea industry was delivered by the officials of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing, highlighting the unique heritage, premium quality, and global reputation of Ceylon Tea, while showcasing opportunities to further strengthen tea trade and cooperation between Sri Lanka and China.
